Outfit from the Lolita Collection

I recently got contacted by an old friend and photographer Holly Knowles aka Hollyrotica. She had found a disc of all the images from a shoot she had done using my clothes from the Lolita Collection.

After receiving them in the post I had a good giggle at how naughty they were (Hollyrotica - theres a good reason for the name!! ) then chose my favorite to have a play with in photoshop.

I decided not to use the provocative, revealing images as the outfits in themselves represent a fantasy fairy tale with a hint of mischievousness. Destaturating the colours and over laying some textures and tones I tried to give the images a vintage appearance.

In Love with Lace....

After finding a gorgeous vintage lace with a flounce I have been inspired to design a new spring/ summer collection. Inspired by boho chic, the collection will be a delicate mix of 1960s hippy dresses infused with a summer fairy feel. Flower head pieces, bangles, butterflies, heart necklaces and natural big hair.

Working with the black lace I made a fitted jacket. Here's a few pics to show it off. Soon to be uploaded to the shop.

Stripie Over Skirt

This skirt is designed to layer over dresses. The bodice part fastens with lacing like a corset then the skirt is in a peplum style to give volume.

Lolita Style Over Skirt

Searching through old sketchbooks I came across some designs I never got round to making. This design is from my Lolita collection 2009. Its an over skirt with corset style lacing at the front.
