Photoshoot for Le Feutre Delices

Le Feutre Delices; my bezzie friend Ms Heidi Mayne is an extremely talented felt jewellery designer and maker. Using wool felt, recycled and reclaimed beads and buttons to create yummy, retro and botanical accessories and jewellery.
To help get her delicious business rolling I organised a BIG Collection Photo-shoot. With some help from some lovely ladies; photographer KayKay Sakura, Models Eon and Miss Kali, and hair stylist Lola.

The photo- shoot theme, a kitsch and vintage inspired tea party with a touch of sexness! Lots if cakes, bunting, polka dots and dress changes!

Sunday Session....

After working all week I wanted to chillax and enjoy Sunday like a Sunday should be enjoyed!
Tomorrow I will be moving back to my home town of St Agnes for 2 whole months! I will be working full time so I can save up some pennies to move away. I've packed half of my wardrobe, shoe collection and jewellery and make up. One thing I felt bad about leaving was my sewing equipment so its coming too... Sewing machine, pattern master and all the accessories!!

Working full time I am determined to spend my evenings and days off getting my latest collection finished. I've been sketching up more designs and keep editing and re-styling some. But here's the outfit that will be made next........



The Collection is a range of Gothic Glamour Party Dresses... Spots, Satin, Lace and Ruffles!
I can not wait to finish and arrange the Photo Shoot, so many ideas and themes!

Editorial Shoot

Late 2010 I got speaking with Plymouth based photographer Chris Conway. He was looking to shoot editorial style fashion images: very sophisticated, high fashion with big accessories, polished hair and dramatic make-up. I was extremely interested in collaborating with Chris. The concept of the shoot was something I had not tried before and having a theme to work by made it more of a challenge. He sent me some imagery to understand the feel he wanted to achieve.

The clothes were to be sexy and very sheer, enough to cover the model but also to add a mystique of femininity. I began designing the outfits; researching into underwear styles and 1940’s pin up fashion. The shoot was to be in black and white so colour was not needed, but texture a must. Being on a strict budget I searched the local fabric shops for luscious looking fabrics that wouldn’t “break the bank”. I found a gorgeous cotton satin that had a light stiffness to it with a soft shine appearance and slight stretch. I then decided to use lace to add the textural element. My idea for the clothes was to create simple designs with lace paneling, ruffles and gathers.

Lace Jumpsuit with Hood. High Waisted paneled Shorts with Bandeau Top. High Waisted Curve Paneled Skirt with Halterneck Top. Complete Lace Dress with bottom Ruffle. Side Lace Bodice with Gathered Lace Shorts. Side Lace Trim Skirt with Body Suit.

I set to work making the clothes, having a strict time scale and small budget I couldn’t afford to make mistakes.

On the day of the shoot Chris Conway had organized two models Georgina Mee and Diana Green as well as hair stylist Lyndy Ewings and make up artists Rebecca Searle.

We got together and started styling and dressing the models. They looked amazing and fortunately the clothes fit. Here are the pics...
