Swing Tags

I have been keeping myself busy organising marketing and promotional elements of the brand.
I decided to re-design my logo and theme of my swing tags. Last year the tags had a dark industrial appearance with tones of grey and a metal texture....



This year I wanted something feminine and sophisticated with a hint of cuteness! I changed the colour theme to pinks and greys with faded flowers, and my logo a simple butterfly.
These are my finished designs.
I have also ordered clothes labels and size labels so cannot wait to get applying them in the to new clothes I make!

Business Venture....

I have my Etsy Store online but for ages I have wanted to sell my clothes in a high street boutique.

I came across a new alternative clothing store in Plymouth Pannier market, Dia De Los Muertos.

"Dia De Los Muertos; we specialise in rockabilly and 50's style clothing. We offer a wide range of casual and evening wear for any event. We also offer a wide range of accessories and jewellery to finish off your look with style."





I arranged a meeting with the owner to discuss selling my clothes in store.
Being an alternative store my designs fit in perfectly with the ethos and fashion market level. I chose my fav items to showcase the brand.
I chose a selection of dresses and skirts with a combination of prints and styles.



The meeting went well and so Dia De Los Muertos will soon be stocking Stephanie Demelza B designs!

Now its up to me to get sewing!!

Latest Commission

My latest commission is to make an evening party dress.
The dress is a Birthday present, that is also to be worn for a graduation ceremony so needs to be smart as well as make the client feel sexy!
I decided on a peplum style dress with a boned bodice top and halterneck straps. The client wanted the dress to be in a vibrant blue, but to add textures and shape we decided on a black satin bodice and the over layer/ ruffle to be in a two toned blue taffeta.

Sexy Paneled Dress

Some thing a little different compared to what I have been making recently.
I have been trying my best not to buy new fabrics and use up the fabrics I have in my giant fabric box!
Here I have used a stretch wet-look fabric with a sequin mesh. Creating curved panels down either side to hug the body and give a risque appearance! Photo-shoot has already been organised so check back for picks ^.^

Photo shoot montage!!!!

So have been a little bit bored waiting for Mr Postman to deliver a zip so I can complete summer outfit number 2. I decided to make a collage to show the theme of the photo-shoot!

The shoot has been organised for this Sunday. Just hoping the weather stays sunny. I'm so excited, photographer and model booked, unfortunately no luck on a MUA or Hair Stylist but I feel confident I can recreate the look I want.

A Productive Lunch break...
